The Science and Practice of Mindfulness
Speaker: Andy Lee, Senior Consultant, The Potential Project and Partner with Working Mindfully

Much has been written recently about the benefits of mindfulness in helping people to enhance their focus, engagement and stress resilience at work. But the practice of implementing mindfulness programs in the workplace is still in its infancy. This program will introduce participants to mindfulness and its benefits, and also present options and emerging best practices for implementing programs in the workplace.

Join us for this program to learn:
  • What mindfulness is, common misconceptions and documented benefits
  • A simple and powerful mindfulness exercise that you can use daily
  • Why mindfulness training is different
  • Options and possibilities for implementation
  • Several illustrative case studies
Andy Lee is a Senior Consultant at The Potential Project and Partner with Working Mindfully. He has held senior talent management positions with Capital One, Viacom and Merrill Lynch, and has been an HR consultant since 2006. His corporate and consulting background allows him to present mindfulness in a way that resonates deeply with executives and professionals. Andy was trained in mindfulness facilitation at the UMass Center for Mindfulness. He also holds an MA in Organizational Psychology and a certificate in Executive Coaching. Besides teaching mindfulness in the workplace, Andy also teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction in Fairfield County.
